How do I verify my identity?

Verifying your identity at Transfer Vault is a straightforward process that can be completed from anywhere in the world as long as you have internet access. We accept clients from over 190 countries and support a variety of identity documents for verification.

Accepted Documents for Identity Verification:

  • Passport
  • European national ID card

Documents We Do Not Accept:

  • Driver's licenses
  • Birth certificates
  • Chinese national ID card
  • Photocopies of your passport or national ID card

Process of Verifying Your Identity:

When applying for a Transfer Vault international business account, identity verification is a mandatory step in the application process. If you are a director, ultimate beneficial owner, or account signatory, the identity verification link will be sent to the email address provided during the application. To verify your identity, you’ll need:
  1. A smartphone with a camera and internet access.
  2. Follow these steps:
    • Scan the displayed QR code or click the “Verify Identity” button.
    • Agree to the terms of service when prompted.
    • Select the type of document you are using.
    • Take clear and high-quality photos of your document as instructed.
    • Be prepared to take a selfie.
    • Wait for the verification process to complete, which typically takes a few minutes.

Tips for Photographing Your Documents and Taking a Selfie:

  • Ensure photos are sharp and clear.

  • Ensure all four corners of the document are visible.
  • Keep the camera lens clean and free from dust or smudges.
  • Avoid glare, strong shadows, or any obstructions in the photos.

  • Your selfie should not include other people or irrelevant objects.

How to Scan the QR Code:

You can scan the QR code using your smartphone:
  • iOS: Open your camera app and point it at the QR code. Tap the link once recognized and follow the instructions.
  • Android: Use your phone's camera to scan the QR code. If your camera app doesn't recognize QR codes, use Google Lens, Firefox, or a QR code reader app from the Google Play Store.
